TGIFF 06/02/2015

Three small finishes for me this week :)  My Timely Tote from Quilting Celebrations Winter 2014 Edition. Sew In Style Thread Catcher from Curry Bungalow  and Divided Basket from Noodlehead.  All for 'me' projects :)  A couple have been posted about already, but not as finishes :)  I'm hoping to link this up with Jenn at A Quarter Inch from The Edge ;)

  1. These are very nice finishes. I like what you are doing with the quilting. Especially on the bag. Are they embroidery stitches?

    1. Yes Lisa, the smaller projects are a great way for me to explore the stitches on my Brother SQ9130. Thanks for dropping by :)

  2. Oooh... how did you find the Divided Basket pattern? I've been admiring that one for a while! And congratulations on your first link-up! I predict many more in your future!

    1. It wasn't too bad to follow, and I like the way the corners are done. I made my pockets a bit smaller because I pieced and quilted the outer piece and the pocket would have covered the whole thing. The problem with cutting down the pocket is that now most of it is actually the bottom of the basket. Not sure if that's a design flaw or I did the corners wrong ;) I also skipped putting the interfacing on the outer pieces, I thought quilting them would make them firm enough, but I should have used the interfacing. I'll know for the next one, and this one works great for what I wanted for :)

    2. I didn't quite get the link-up right, I have to figure out how to link TO the other site ;) Some things take me awhile, but I'll get there.

  3. Way to go! Love that divided basket...I have been a bit addicted to the Noodlehead zippered pouch.
